Yeah I had to use some super glue in the cup holder because of the bends and such.

Im doing a seat conversion from another car but thats not till this winter. Next I think Ill be doing the bottom half of the console. Ill be deleting the rear cup holders since they are useless and making it smooth back there so its easier to wrap in the leather.

Yeah I have known how to do fiberglass work for along time now. However this project required ZERO fiberglass. Its almost all ABS plastic with a little body filler.

I am thinking about adding somthing there but there honestly isnt that much room. I am thinking about getn a little pontiac arrow emblem to put over there.

Well the entire interior interior is ABS plastic so I used ABS sludge to do the entire modification. Its like plastic welding kinda. Once it dries and you sand it you cant tell it was even there.

Default Update

Ok just a little update. I wasnt satisfied with the way the cup holder turned out so I started over. I removed the leather and cup the cup holder off of the console. I am thinking about deleting the cupholder all together or making my own cup holder with a stainless steel ring around the opening. Im making the ABS sludge as I speak so I should have more pics very soon.

I was also thinking about moving the button on the console thats below the GPS and moving it to the right of the GPS. What do you guys think?

I used car upholstery glue and I bought it from a place that does auto interiors. I dont know the brand because it came in a plain metal can.

You actually make it. Its ABS plastic melted with acitone. It becomes a sludge. I put the ABS plastic pieces in a glass jar, Pour acitone on it. Let it sit for a few days, Stir a few times. Then put in the a squirt bottle that will not melt from the acitone. then you can do whatever you want as long as you are fusing ABS plastic together.

-It does take a few days to fully melt once in the acitone and harden back up once its on the part. Then sand it and you can barly tell it was ever added.

Im going to be molding in aftermarket gauge pods to my stock a piller soon. So ill keep everyone updated.

I'm in the market for a GPS and I was considering doing something like this, if only by temporarily removing the pocket and placing it behind with L-brackets and ABS glue or something. Going to be going on a road trip and don't want anything conspicuous showing. iPod connection is hidden away in the glovebox, would like the GPS to be fairly hidden too, so if anybody glances inside the car they'll see a stock headunit, no electronics of interest laying around, and walk away...
