Well Im talking to third shift studios about making up some embelms like muffinbuster used to make, since he wont do GM emblems anymore. Well see how they turn out. What makes you think they will look weird if they are stock size?

Ill definetly look into it, besides I think it might end up being cost prohibitive anyway. Anytime you wanna post up an opinion man let me hear it!
Im thinking that depending on the cost Ill hold off on the emblems and get the autometer gauge pod and some gauges instead.
By the way, T-TOPS ARE AWESOME!!!! I cant thank you enough for doin that for me. Its been great cruising around with em out!

Ebay they are usually $30 a piece but gmpartsdirect has them for $24 I think if you can find the part number....

They are 1973-4 style Z28 fender emblems.

To paint them you just tape off, scuff with a scotch-brite pad and spray with some duplicolor gloss black

Take them to your local mall that has one of those vinyl sticker cutting kiosks in the middle of it...

Get them to either make a black sticker for it, just under size so you can still have a polished outline...

...or...

...have them make a Z the same size but only as an outline so you can put it on, spray paint the black on, pull it off and clear the whole Z (to be safe and not have the paint edge that could get nicked easily)...

You dont think that having the black/chrome emblems on my car would jus tbe too much/too little? I was thinking the red would at least give a little color to the car, something for the eyes to focus on.
Ill probably pick these up, do one in red and one in black, and see what the wife likes best, easiest way for me to decide what I like.

On a white car clean is better so keeping it all white, black and chrome will make it look classy

To keep them looking nice you are going to have to repaint them every year anyway...the sun and the weather will dull the paint down..I use the first gen 1969 Z28 emblems on my car and I repaint them every spring..I use Testors paint that comes in the little bottles that people use on plastic model cars and airplanes to do the red and the white or what ever colors you like...I use a very small paint brush and get some q tips and some paint thinner to clean up the edges and you will be good to go...takes about 45 minutes and 3 dollars invested to do it...I bought my 1969 OEM knock off emblems from Rick's First Gen for $20 a piece..Year One has them too but their prices are much higher....the 1970 Z28 emblems are nice too ... I am not much for the looks of the 4th gen emblems..but being a 60's era guy that is just natural..

PS those emblems from Echlers look kind of funky any of the OEM knock offs look much better to me.
