Windshield Wiper Question Maybe the stupidest question I've ever posted, but...
How do I reattach the windshield wiper assembly to the wiper arm without breaking that retarded plastic retainer clip? Of all the crappy, stupid things to have trouble with... <img src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" border="0"> <img src="images/icons/tongue.gif" border="0">

Re: Windshield Wiper Question Not sure what you mean. I purchased complete wiper arm assemblies (the metal part that holds the blade and the blade itself) for about $6 each at AutoZone. You simply remove the old arm, chunk it in the trash, and install the new one. It should come with its own plastic snap-in clip, you chunk the old one.

Re: Windshield Wiper Question Does yours have the "pin" sticking out of the wiper arm?
If so, the replacement wiper blade should come with a snap retainer that will snap into the wiper blade itself and then snap around this pin once you mount it.
If you have the "hook" design (like some Chevy trucks), there is another adapter that comes with the new wiper blade the squeezes into the hook to hold it in place.

Re: Windshield Wiper Question Yeah, it was the hook kind. I just said "hell with it" and bought new assemblies. Problem solved. See, I tried to save money by just getting the refills, and ended up spending double in the end. <img src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" border="0"> <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

I ended up spending the same amount of dough. If I remember correctly, I found that you place the plastic in the hook, them slide the arm on.
