repairing a cut in leather

I have a small cut in my drivers seat, its about an 1" long or so, whats the best way to cover this up

they make a kit that will fix it . uses a piece that is woven that would go over the cut . then some colored epoxy that goes over that then finally smoothing it out .
alternative is to get a few yards of new fabric and redo the interior .

i tried some leather rip repair kits before on my old school benz ears ago. doesnt look good and doesnt last long. but if you want to try you may have better results.

is it the usual rip on the left side of the drivers seat? right next to your ribs lol.
