I actually like the low hatch, but I might be biased since I own a Formula.
There's something busineslike about the low hatch, I like the less flashy look.
I'd run the low one for now, but definitely keep the high rise. If you ever want to sell the car or put it back on, any money you get for it now won't be worth the hassle of finding another one later one. The high rise is more desireable, so it'll be harder to get....kind of like WS6 hoods. People are giving flat hoods away for free, while OEM WS6 hoods are going for close to a grand.
Only downfall to the low hatch is that it turns into a birdbath when it rains. A few times over the winter the water on the hatch froze, I must have pulled 20lbs. of ice of the hatch while cleaning off the car.

haha, I hear that all the time. I won't put lowering springs on the car at all. I have scraped being a 4x4 that I am now. I also have a tunnel mount torque arm and the center is actually very low. I can maybe fit a pop can under it at most.
I agree with StuntmanMike. Looks a lot less flashy, and like it means business, lol. But no matter what, I would never get rid of the high rise hatch. I have kept every nut / bolt, and original parts that ever came e/ the car. I'm only missing the head unit, and the original factory exhaust from the manifolds, back.
I will post a pic of someones TA w/ the low hatch. (sorry, but I have no idea who's cars this is. Just a pic i have collected over the years) This pic looks badass.

High rise all the way, IMO. I've seen several strip-only TAs with Formula hatches, though. Still like the way the high-rise ones look. I say go with what YOU want and what makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside . I got mixed feedback on here from when I swapped out my hatch, but I didn't really care if people disagreed. It was my choice and my car. To each his own.
P.S. I still have my low-rise hatch safely stored away should I ever have a change of heart (or have a sudden need for a replacement).

Amen. I've been driving to work and seeing this Polo Green 1993 Trans Am with the low spoiler since high rise wasn't offered yet. It's rancid looking. High rise spoiler for sure. I'm glad that the high rise became the standard spoiler in 97 I believe.
