Default lug nuts to use with weld pro starts...???

just a quick and easy question. they are the 15x3.5" fronts and 15x8" rears with e.t. front runners and DOT slicks like e.t. streets. any particular lugnuts to use? this is still on the stock rear end with stock studs. do i need longer wheel studs at all? thanks. oh yeah, car will be running high 10's if that matters at all for tech reasons.

Longer wheel studs would be safer, but many of us ran the stock ones with no problems for a long time.

12mm x 1.5 long-shank type lugs. Sometimes called "Cragar Style" lugs. These have a 13/16" head size.

ok, got that.

when does a person need to go to an open end lug nut. like in the rule book about having a certain amount of the threads of the stud extend past the top of the nut? thanks for any help.

NHRA requires open ended lugs for non-DOT rated tires like real drag slicks. Sometimes they also consider ET Streets slicks. Most tracks do not enforce the lug nut rule though

The threads must go into the head of the lug (where the wrench fits on) at least the distance equal to the diameter of the stud. They can also go past the open end.

I use open lugs in the back due to the slicks Chris.
