Need pics of guage pods close up sort of Hey guys, can you post some pics or e-mail me some of guage pods, preferably with Phantom guages or silver faced guages. Do you ahve to drill into the A-pillar to install the pod? Thanks in advance!
Re: Need pics of guage pods close up sort of Phantom fuel pressure gauge and AF gauge.
You have to drill into the A pillar, 5 holes. 4 for the mounting pins and one for the wires that have to pass thru. You will need to take the a-pillar off anyway. You have to take your t-top off first.
I suggest taking the pod and holding it on the pillar, find a good height. Too low and my knuckles would hit the pod when I turned the wheel. Mark the pod location with masking tape.

I got the gauge pod waiting to be delivered...it was on 4 week back order like 2 months ago...so who knows...
The install of the A/F gauge doesn't look too hard on the instructions...I just need to find the right wire to tap into... <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

Re: Need pics of guage pods close up sort of Mt car is a 1998 and I plan on getting one of those little connectors from ls1motorposrts so I do not have to cut any wires, at least for that guage. Where does it plug? Also, how do you exactly hook up the wire to the rail???
Re: Need pics of guage pods close up sort of We ran the wire for the AF thru the firewall, and spliced into the PCM wire.
For the fuel gauge, it's pretty obvios. the fitting goes on the fuel rail.
