Re: what's needed to be done to... Chris, I had a few sets of 15x8 Prostars. Grind grind grind. I did not use spacers. I don't think it's a good idea. I'm sure someone has pics of where they grinded. |

Re: what's needed to be done to... Whats wrong with using spacers? I have spacers on my Welds but I dont like the way they look. |
Re: what's needed to be done to... with spacers you don't get as much of the bolt threaded into the lug nut which can possibly shear off then because of that. I used spacers for a while then decided to grind, grind, grind. Chris I used a Craftsman Professional 4.5" 7 amp right angle grinder. Took NO time at all with this sucker! Very worth it to me for no spacers looks better and wheels are basically flush then |
Re: what's needed to be done to... Good enough reason for me. I'll grind em this weekend. Thanks. |
Re: what's needed to be done to... How many threads you get into the bolt will have no effect on sheer strength. How much engagement are you getting? The only thing you will have to worry about is pulling the threads off of 5 bolts with a sideways load. In theory anyway. |
Re: what's needed to be done to... I ran spacers with my 15x8 Pro Stars on my T/A, and I never had any problems. My quickest 60' was a 1.53. |
Re: what's needed to be done to... Use longer bolts with spacers. |
