license plate cover
what do yal think about those smoked license plate covers. no chrome border or anything, just a pop on cover. i was looking at some at work today and i think it would go with my theme which is pewter with smoked and black accents. i just don't see many of you guys with them so i was wondering if there was a reason for that.

Depends on your state regulations. Most won't allow it.
Suppose that could be the reason?!?
Just like the 'No front plate' law. Some people get away with it, then bitch when the get a ticket for it.
You could do it with the smoked covers, but don't whine when you get cited for it.

its illegal in most states, if not all states. I had a smoked cover. (very light smoke). wasnt really that noticeable. i was never bothered. ive seen plenty with darker covers. i doubt you'd get stopped for it.

Got stoped a few weeks ago for no front plate..ticketed me for that and gave me a warning for my tinted plate cover. he said that it was the only equipment violation that goes against your record and he was not even sure why.. but i guess he was nice enough to not write me for it.
