Which pads/polish...
Well I just sold the black mustang and got a black Trans Am...anyways...When I rotary buffed the mustang it came out great, but could have been better.
This weekend I will be spending 2 whole days probably cleaning the car the best it can be cleaned....removing seats one day and doing interior, etc. and washing, buffing/polishing/detailing the exterior.
Which number pads do you guys recommend I get for my rotary buffer. I know they have numbers.....and yes I know how to use it so no statements about burning paint lol. Just some good polishes, pads, and what order to you professional detailers recommend?

I was thinking for buffing/polishing doing it this way
Rubbing Compound(lite) - Glaze/Polish
3m White foam compounding pad(waffle type) to apply rubbing compound
and a 3m black pad for the polishing(also waffle type)
followed by quick detail spray and wipe with microfiber
then wax with orbital buffer(which pad do you recommend for this step)?

I prefer Menzerna polishes and Lake Country pads, but you're probably not going to find those locally. If you have access to 3M products, check out the Ultrafina stuff.

I'm familiar with the lake country pads as well, and I'd reccomend a yellow pad only if there are some major issues with the paint such as bad swirl marks deep water stains. Switch to an orange pad for final polishing or if the paint is in good condition. Then a red or black pad for the glaze / wax stage.

doubt ill use a yellow or orange, cant find them locallly I dont think....would I be fine with just teh white for compounding and black for glaze and an orbital with a microfiber cloth pad for wax?
