Shamwow
yea, it's a good deal if they work or not you get like 8 shammys for 20 bucks. it would be even a better deal if they actually worked like they say.
anyone use them yet??
I guess. . . .
I have some still around the house.
They worked very well untill I washed them, then it started to fall appart.
Absorbs like a mother though. I still like the microfiber better. Use a heavy towel to dry and microfiber to polish.

In favor of the absorber:
We know a fresh absorber is clean and won't scratch up your car if kept clean. We know this because many people on this site use it.
In favor of the Shamwow:
A few dollars cheaper.
So are you willing to risk swirling up your whole car to save a couple bucks? For me it aint' worth it until more people can confirm it won't swirl. I wouldn't assume that just because they look the same, they are the same.
Furthermore, even an absorber is not the best thing for the paint.
Best for the paint is a sheeting the water, then a blower, then blot dry the rest with a high quality waffle weave MF.
slightly better is to sheet the water off, then blot dry with the WW and skip the blower.
using a chamois or an absorber can cause issues due to the lack of nap. if everythign is perfectly clean, then you susually won't have problems ..
but why take a chance?
