Default Mecham single extractor hood finally on!

After a few months of sitting in the house I finally got it painted and put on the car. Mecham isnt known for their quality but I'm pretty pleased, it turned out well. I feel like a proud papa!

Mecham hoods are sex. If I had a LS1 T/A or Camaro I'd put a Mecham hood on it before I did anything else.

Yeah, I agree, the front opening is a little small but oh well.
And yes, its functional, you can really feel the heat coming out of the engine compartment if you put your hand over the rear vent.
The hoods straight from Mecham are insanely priced, about a grand. I was in the market for a Sunoco hood when someone in North Carolina posted this hood in the classified section. Shipped I believe it was 625, might be a little off though.
Fittment is good, about the only thing I would change is the very front (just in front of the scoop) is a tad off, the gap is a little bigger than I'd like but its nothing I cant live with. The thinkness of the fiberglass varies as well. If you look from straight on you can see it above the headlights. I had always wanted to get Mecham but there was no way I was going to pay what they were asking for a new one. I'm so stoked this one came along.

Looks great! If I ever have to replace my WS6 hood I'll get a Mecham.

I like it!! Definitely different and still has a good look!

Now I'd say black out the inlays to go with your red/black theme!!!

That is pure sex. I always wanted the Mecham hood for my TA but i wont be able to afford it for a long time. That hood is just screaming for a black manta on it. I would love to see what it looks like with that done.

Thanks guys! Not sure what I want to do next but I have a feeling its going to be an OEM SS spoiler. I bought what I was told was the real deal and like the hood, it sat for a couple months before it was painted. The fit is fine....on the pass side. The drivers side is terrible, so disappointed! But at least there is a TSP heads/cam package heading my way...that'll take my mind off the spoiler.

Does it have a small lip on the backside of it? Looking like where two pieces meet up? If it does, then it is a genuine SS spoiler. If not, aftermarket.

looks good... just curious does your hood look more orange in person or does your bumper just need a good buff to shine it up?

That's not something you see a lot. I like it the only thing is it seems like you have three different shades of bright red going on there between the hood the passenger side fender and the front fascia.
