Default Body side mouldings option???

What is it? I have it on my build sheet, but dont know exactly what it is? Any guesses?

hmm, don't think I've seen a camaro or firebird without side molding.

Yeah they're out there without the molding. It's just the little piece of something that runs along the door really. It's body colored.

In my opinion, all it does it provide a safe haven for water and wax to get trapped when washing then waxing the car. My friend has an SS without them and you don't even notice they aren't there.

Our '01 doesnt have them. It is also included in the perfered equipment group, which ours doesnt have(included with most Z's, it also is how you get power door locks, windows, cruise, etc.). But I like them, because it would be easier to get a new one of those and have it painted instead of repainting a door due to major door dings.

Don't know about you, but everyone of my door ding are above those crappy moldings! <img src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" border="0">

I havent seen 1 car whose door would even hit those things anyway, most are too high and hit the upper door area.
