Finally, brighter headlights for Firebirds!!
something I decided to try a few days ago.. so far so good.. no melting or anything like that.. and cost me $20, but I needed new headlights anyways.. What do you think?
my car is on the left vs stock headlights on the right.
some other pics in the first album on my webshots page.

I wanna know too, hehe! TELL ME!!!!!!!! LOL! I hate the headlights on our cars. I yearn for some true xenons but do not have the desire to spend $1000 I do not have. I can afford $20 though, hehe! Is it a whole new assembly for $20?

Re: Finally, brighter headlights for Firebirds!!
what he's saying is that they are stock replacement High Beam lights like the lights your highbeams on he basically bought REPLACEMENT ones for that and rigged em up where the normal low beams are so they are shitty bright! The thing is you have to take the plug off of the new ones cause they wont mate up to where the normal low beams would go and just heat shrink the connectors together not too hard i watched him do it the other night....

Re: Finally, brighter headlights for Firebirds!!
yes they work well!
ok: go to wal-mart and buy the high beam bulbs for your car (as if you wanted to replace a bad high beam for your car).
open the headlight doors and turn off the headlights so they are not on but the doors are up, remove both stock low beam bulbs, unhooking them from the stock wiring harness..
the big black plug you just grabbed has 2 metal sockets in it.. take those out of the black plug thingy.. they have a small hole on the front where you can use a pin remover or small object like a paper clip end or something to depress the tab inside to release the socket pin from the plug. once removed.. cover the bare metal with some heat shrink or other appropriate, and re-insert the light bulb tabs into them. just make sure that they are water tight-ish. and tighten the headligts back up into the headlight door.. you may find that pointing them down a little bit helps the glare.
feel free to email.. i'll take some photos of the backside if interest.

That would be great, thanks! So, I ahve a question, since you have to do all that to make the high beams work, can you still go back to stock later on?
