I don't think any cutting will be needed. Granted I pulled it out of the box and just tossed it on, but it seems to line up about 99.9% perfect and doesn't seem to need any cutting at all.

As soon as all the fasteners are drilled for, it will get painted. Im trying to decide if i wanna do it all blue, or do the satin black stripe on the side of the cowl like some do.

It will look great either way, even if you did a single stripe up the center of the cowl (a guy did tha on his pewter Z a couple weeks ago)... I'll search for pics if you're interested...

If it were my car I would do black stripes on the sides of the cowl and then get some custom-made emblems that read the engine size in cubic inches to go on each side closer to the windshield...

So that is just the regular VFN Extended Sunoco hood? No special size ordered by you, just the one on their website? I ******* love it, I was wanting a mix between the aggressiveness of the Mike Moran and the drivability of the Sunoco and I think that is it!
