What is the best way to fix a cut in the leather seats. It used to be really small but since Ive allowed people to still sit there it has gotten bigger. I dont want it to be noticeable so I dont want to use that cheap paint on crap. Any ideas?

If you can get access to the underside of the cut area, make a patch from a scrap of suede or other thin leather with a roughout surface and use contact cement to attach to the underside of the cut. Like you would in patching a tube. That should take the load off the cut and keep it from getting bigger. If you are good with your hands, or know a surgeon you could even try suturing up the cut with a suture kit, but swap out the monofiloment nylon suture with thin braided fishing line (available in different colors) which is stronger and more pliable.

Ummm all that is easier said than done. First off how do I get to the underside of the leather. I too thought of that but first I'd have to take the leather off of the seats. I dont know how to do that and I'm not so sure if I'd want to if I knew for risk or messing it up more or tearing it up. I know there are pathes that you can iron one (Hmm dont know how that'll work or if it'll burn) and I think if I did it under neath that it would do the job but again that too is easier said than done.
So new question. How easy is it to take the leather of off the seats? ANyone ever try this? My poor poor car.

When the leather wore out and tore on my 97 on the driver's side (where they all do) after the warranty expired Rydell GM in Van Nuy) sent me to the shop that handles their leather repairs.
For $140 they put in 2 pieces that ran the complete height of the backrest. One was leather and the other vinyl which is what they said was original.
I had expected it to have cost a lot more.
