Default Interior door handle question

My driver side will not stay screwed into the door. I assume it is stripped. Is there a metal/plastic clip that I am missing or is it suppose to screw straight into the door? Thanks in advance for any input.

Default door trim

If your talking about the door trim piece around the door handle then mine did the same thing. It is fiberglass that it screws into and it strips easily. Just take it off fill hole with jbweld and let it dry. Then drill a tiny whole smaller than the scew of course and hand tighten your screw back in the new hole and you all done...

Exact same thing my drivers side did. I've had those door skins off so many times I'm surprised it lasted this long before it stripped. Thanx for the tip, I'll have to do that next time it's apart, which I'm sure won't be too far away.
