Default Frame Integrity?

Does it harm a F-body's structural integrity including the body panels if left sitting on jacks under the frame rails at all four lift points for an extended period? BTW, I have a vert w/ BMR welded SFC's.....
Thanks, Randy

I wouldn't think so, a lot of people store their cars like this...

I'm not totally sure though..

I don't think it would be too bad...
Although, I've been told it isn't good to just let the suspension hang. You can have the car up on jackstands, but make sure the suspension is somewhat being supported.

I would think that letting the car sit even on tires is bad because the tires can get flatspotted. There are little rubber things you drive onto that prevent this that you can buy, forgot where I saw them.

Actually, I have put a nice little dent in my right rear quarter panel when jacking up the car one time. To avoid that happening, do this.....

If you're jacking your car up fairly high, put 2 jacks under the car, one on each side. Have a friend pump one jack while you pump the other. That way it keeps the frame somewhat even, and won't put stress on the rear quarters.

BTW, those "little rubber things" are called "Ramps" . They go for 25 bucks at Peppyboys

If you have subframes on the car when you lift the front of one side the back of that side will start to lift too...at least you can tell the mod is worth it...

Flatspotting doesn't occur on new bias-ply tires.
It used to happen with older cars because the tires weren't made as well as they are today.

When storing the car, the only thing ya gotta do is fill em up to max PSI. Then you won't have to worry.

Thanks for all the help and insight. I think it is a great forum to be affiliated with. I have a "peace of mind" with this issue now....now where is that girdle? TR is usually pretty good with getting stuff out.
