Who has fried an A4???

Who has fried an A4??? Just wondering what some of the signs are when your tranny is about to go. I am getting a pretty noticable "clunk" on the 2-3 shift that sounds like it is coming from the tranny and though it might be time to start thinking about alternatives.

Torgue Converter went bad then spread metal through my transmission.
One of my friends who also bought the same TC had the exact same thing happen to him. The symptoms were a shaky lock up and hesitant shifts.
Do not continue to drive the car if you think its bad, get it to a tranny shop ASAP.

At first the car would randomly not shift into 3rd gear. It would go from 2nd to neutral. Turn the car off, restart, and everything would be fine. Then after a couple of days it quit completely. 2-3 clutchpack was completely fried.
Take it to a tranny shop.

Re: Who has fried an A4??? The pump got damaged in my stock trans due to too much line pressure. When it happened, I decided to upgrade the whole transmission since it was out of the car and I was making changes to it anyway.

Re: Who has fried an A4??? Sounds more like a broken trans mount. SLP sells the 1LE mount for something like $20 and it's MUCH better than the stock one, I have one in mine. Check the universals and torque arm bushing too. Doesn't sound like an actual "trans" problem.
Most common problem is probably slipping on the 2/3 shift (3/4 clutches) and poor/no engagement to 3rd gear. Loosing second is common too (burned/slipping band).

Re: Who has fried an A4??? mine is out now it started with it not going in to 3ed this was a new one i`v had it for two month`s but they are fixing it for free and giveing me a 3200 stall blue clutches and kevlar band `s this one better hold
