Transmission Problem - Need Help
Transmission Problem - Need Help I have a 2000 WS6 Trans AM with an automatic transmission. When driving around after the car is warmed up in overdrive, the rpms rise with throttle movements but the engine is not accelerating the car.
When this happens, if you lightly touch the brake and go back to accelerating, the car starts pulling again.
Has anyone ever experienced this and if so, what did you discover to be the problem and the fix?

I would scan and see what the converter is being commanded to do lockup wise , Sounds like its unlocking when lightly loaded

I agree, sounds like the lock clutch has issues. But first step is to scan it and see what the computer has to tell us. I noticed you said H-Town, meaning Houston? If so, you can bring it by our shop and we can check it for you.
