Loss of power Hi, greetings from Chile.
I own a Chevrolet Blazer S-10 1988 2.8L V6 automatic. I use it to make small things in the country property where I live.
I has worked fine in flat terrain (dump garbage, go to the near lake [2 miles]), though I noted a loss of power lately.
The problem came when I put it to stress climbing a moderately steep hill. It simply didnt climb. The motor accelerated at top RPM but it didnt climb.
At that point I had to leave it there because I thought I broke the automatic transmission. But... when I put in R and advanced backwards, it worked! ??? I managed to turn it downhill, put D and it worked as always.
What is it?? Maybe is low level of fluid?? or it is broken??
Please help.
