i have a 700r4 in my blazer and i finally hooked up the lock-up solenoid and it worked great in 3rd. (33" tires and 3.08 gears OD is useless) i used it in overdrive and then an idiot stopped in front of me so i had to get on the brakes while fumbling for the switch to turn it off and then the indicator on the switch got really bright and burned out. I don't think i hurt anything but a cheap rocker switch.

However, my question is how many amps does the solenoid draw when locking up in OD or 3rd?

I tested it while just sitting in the parking lot and it drew .5 amp
