All stock internals with an Edge 3,400 stall and mine shifts at 6,100 RPM 1-2 and 2-3. Crosses the traps at 6,500 or so, definitely out of the power band so I need a bit more tire. Worked well enough for a 11.93 pass on a 1.53 60'.

Internals Stock? No reason at all to change WOT shift points. Leave 'em the **** alone lest ye bend a pushrod.

What kind of times are you running at the track?

Here's my dyno graph with only lid/catback before and after tuning.

While it might be making less power past 5500 it's definitely not falling on its face.

Right. And shifting too early - especially on 1-2 - puts you too low in the rpm range in the next gear ... unless your converter makes up the difference.

let me talk with my tuner to double check that. does a tr224 .564 114 make power past 6000?

Exactly. Losing 5hp after 5500 is better than losing 15 at below 4000. It's all about the average power, not the peak.
