Post 4L60E in Monte Carlo SS??

hey guys i have a monte carlo ss with a 1996 Tahoe Vortec block. Which is the same as an lt1 w/o reverse cooling flow or w/e.. but my question is can i put a 4L60E in this instead of rebuiling my 200-4r? I could put a turbo 350 or 400 but i still want O/D and my low first gear... if there would be any problems putting this in let me kno tht too please thanks guys

You would have to shorten drive shaft about 3 inches and move cross member .
Other than that if you have the electronics in the car to control it or go full manual you shold be good to go. You will need a trans and converter for that .
