Default Used verter?

To buy or not to buy? I've heard don't buy a used one because you never know what you're getting but is it true? They seem prohibitively expensive new, $700 WOW that's more than rent for a month for me lol. What do you guys think?

You can always buy a used one and have it cleaned and looked over...

I've been a using a used stall for a while now with no issues, luck of the draw I quess. it cost $300 shipped beats 700+ for a new one, I just turned it upside down for a night to drain what it had for fluid in it out.

It's a toss-up....my first converter was a used Yank ST3500 and it worked great. Now my buddy has it....he had it cut/cleaned and it's working great in his car.
