Default Removing Transmission

Well this weekend i'm having a few friends help me swap out my transmission in my 1998 Trans Am. Both of them have done it before on other cars, but I have not.

My current dilemma is figuring out how to get the car up high enough to do it safely.

I'm guessing jack stands would be the answer, or maybe a combination of stands and ramps on the rear possibly?

We have all of the tools necessary, but does anyone have any tips or advice they could give me since it's going to be my first time doing this?

Thanks!
