Default shift extention

I haven't driven my car in a while and I can't remember where the rpms fall back down to. I don't even have a rough idea.

I had a built trans w/3500 stall. I shifted at 6400rpm. Any idea at what rpm the next gear would start at?

Also, if I raised shift points to 7000, what would it be then?

Probably around 5000, depending on how loose/tight the converter is. I believe the shift extension stays the same, even when increasing the shift points. Someone correct me if i'm wrong. If you want higher rpm extensions (minimum rpm drop after shift), for your 7000 shift point, then you need a bigger converter.

my converter is on the looser side IMO

so that would mean it would have a higher shift extention than a tighter converter right?
