4L60E to 4L80E Speartech harness
4L60E to 4L80E Speartech harness I am attempting to return this harness to Speartech. My plan was to swap the 4L60E and transfer case to the 80E in my Silverado. With researching this project I noticed it would require more mods than i could afford. I had a 80E shipped to me but the bellhousing was cracked and I got a refund. I had an M12 T56 laying around so I converted to 2wd and the 6 spd. I called John at Speartech he wanted a 10% restocking fee for return if all was well with the harness. The harness was never touched. Does this sound right?
I don't know about it being right, but it's a common practice. 10% is not bad compared to another place that, without informing me, made a 30% mark down on a poor fitting part I returned. (Spohn via Byun Speed.) Had I known I was getting the shaft, I'd have either lubed up or sold it privately.
