I am planning on using my old M6 crossmemeber for my turbo 400 swap and know that I would need to elongate the bolt hole for where it bolt up to the crossmember.

However, how big must the spacer be the get the trans to the right height? i'm guessing about an inch and a half but I would like top hear from one or two guys that did it this way.
