Default Full time lube mod

Hi guys,
I'm from Australia and am currently searching the net for info on how to build 4l60e's. This forum is by far the best one I have come across so I thought I'd throw a question out here. Basically I'm building a 4l60e which is going behind a 500hp Holden V8 motor. As far as I'm aware the gearboxes are virtually identical apart from the bellhousing, case etc. The box I have is a 4HBD, if that means anything to anyone. I've been told about a "full time lube mod" which can be performed on these boxes but can't find anything on how to do this. Is anyone able to shed some light on this please?

Basically just looking for any tips and tricks to keep this box alive as it doesn't have the best reputation over here.. If anyones interested I can list what parts I plan to use etc..

Thanks guys

It is already done from the factory. The pressure regulator valve has one spool that has two flat spots on it. That is for the full time lube in that unit. Some companies claim to do this in their builds which is BS unless you have a really old 700r4. Vince

4HBD is the code GM uses. It is a 2004 4l60E transmission. As Vince stated the mods are already done from the factory.

The only thing I've heard called that was a feed line to the extension housing bushing. Done a lot on th400's that run high speeds for extended times, like desert running.
Similiar to the 4L80E factory oil fed ex housing bushing.
Is that what you're refering to?
