Default 93z28 auto question please help

why does my tranny always seem to take off in 2nd gear.. the only way i can get it to take off in 1st is to shift it out of drive, like reverse, or Neutral.
how can i eliminate this pain in the A%%

Sounds like a sticky TV valve in the valve body. The transgo kit addresses this. Might be something to consider. Vince

thanks for your help.. .i didnt know if it was like the newer ones that ran partially off of TPS and such. . could the TPS and anything else have anything to do with it.. and is there anything i could try besides going internal of the tranny..

No your trans uses a TV cable to control line pressure and also with this cable a governor is used for shift timing. The TPS will not effect the issue you are having. I'm pretty sure it is internal. Vince
