a4 to m6 conversion...
ok...im sure this question has been beaten to death, but how difficult would it be to convert my 99 a4 t/a to an m6.
ive got access to everything i would need, including the console. but ive heard horror stories as far as the clutch set-up goes in a conversion.i am by no means a trans guy, especially anything that has to do with a manual trans.
i really love my car, and just simply "got bored" of having an auto.time to switch things up a bit.
now on the flip-side, i would look to sell my trans that ive got in the car now.its freshly rebuilt(w/ paperwork). doesnt even have 5k on it.what would this be worth?
if you guys could give me some insight on this project, id appreciate it.
thanks.

How difficult would it be? Not sure how to answer that, it depends on who's doing the work. Let grandma do it and the answer is it's very difficult. Let a custom car builder do it and it's easy. Now where do you fit in between those two?
And for the price of the used A4. Who built it? Chain shop? (aamco, etc) not much, I'd say 1/4 of the price on the bill.
Performance shop 1/3
Sponsor here 2/3
I did the swap, I've read horror stories of clutches too but I connected all my stuff and had it working 15 minutes after putting fluid in it.

Here is my Swap Thread.. this will give you an idea.
It'll be complete after I get back from Iraq, but I see no problems once it's tuned and driving.
