How much beating will my trans take? hey guys im hoping to be pusshing around 375-400sih to the crank. how much beating will my trans take? im not looking to nuetral drop or anything like that. maybe just a few runs every few weekends or so. just a good daily but when i want it to hold it will. its a stock rebuild except a hardened sunshell.
375 at the crank is something like 326 on the rear wheels. I.e, just slightly above stock power-levels for an LS1.
Since you're using a T56, I'd be more worried about the rear giving out before the trans takes a dump because of too much power.
Staying off slicks will also reduce the possibility of breaking either rear or trans.

I've got ~20k on my car, 400 rwhp, 3400 stall, no problems. But it does have a TransGo HD2 shift kit and a cooler. The shift kit was required b/c it was slipping before.
