Does my 4L60E have a MLP switch?
Does my 2000 camaro ls1 have a Manual lever position. how do i find out if i have one without the vin and without getting under the car. i am buying a new tranny and i dont no if i have one on it or not so i need to know if it has one on it because i am told it makes a difference in the length of the output shaft. please any response is appreciated!!!

No it does not have one.
That determines the length of the gear selector shaft.
I'd question who you're odering from if they don't already know this.
No LS1 F-Body came with a switch there, just trucks.

MLP SWITCH= MANUAL LEVER POSITION SWITCH
Thats what ford calls a neutral switch . The 4L60E actually has two different devices that serve the same purpose, 1 being the neutral saftey switch in the camaro console and the other being the MANIFOLD PRESURE SWITCH on the valve body

sorry to hijack an old thread, but are these shafts easy to change out? I bought a 4L60e from a truck and am putting it in an old 71 camaro.
Anyone have a source or a GM part number to the shorter shaft I would need. I'm having a HARD time trying to locate this part, I don't even know what it's actually called lol
Thanks
