I was wondering what luck you guys or girls have had installing a aftermarket converter in a car with 60,000 miles? Should I be concerned that the trans wont last very long after the install? Should I just rebuild the trans before I install the converter? What precaution can I do to make the trans live. Any suggestions would be apreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

depends on how its been cared for in the past really...mine has been cared for pretty well as proof by the receipts but i still added a tranny cooler to get those temps down...im doing a ssf TCI3500 stall vert in a few weeks as soon as it gets off backorder through summit (put in the good word kev ) so give me a few 1000 miles on it and ill let you know if it goes hehe.

Thanks Bill, keep us posted. Hopefully I will have my Yank SS3800 installed in a couple of weeks.

 

nice a yank wouldve been best for me too just a bit too pricey at this point...figure a lot of people are having pretty good luck with the tci 3500&3800 but with my gearing id probably be better off with the lesser of two evils for drivability purposes for now
