Default Should I get a stall converter?

I have a 2000 Trans am WS6 with 53k miles. I have borla exhaust and cold air package. I recently had it tuned and was thinking about LT headers and off road Y pipe or doing a stall converter. Any suggestions as to which would be better and also what brands would be best for my car.

Vigilante, Yank and Circle D are pretty popular around here. I personally would not go with anything lower than 3600.

Vigilante 3,600 is a blast to drive. Yank is good as well.

A stall is one of the best mods you can do for an A4 car. I have a Yank 3600 in mine.

should have held off on the tune...

what are your plans for the car, and what are you shooting for?

with your lack of info, i would have to suggest something like a 3500+ Vig. or Yank..

Anyways I'd say get at least a 3200 I have Vig 3600 myself (it actually behaves more like a 4000 though) There is lots of info on converters in the Auto transmission forum stickies to help.

Vigs are awesome..

my 4k flashes more like a 4600-5k..

perfect street manners though, and locks perfectly when cruising.

Yeah you'll love it, Circle D dumdumdum . I have a PTC and don't really car for it at all. Its way too loose and feels like it just blows through the gears. I can stall it to 4500 on a dry road EASY. 3600 would be the biggest I'd ever go if I had the choice to do it again..
