Help with crazy mechanic
Four years ago I ran a TCI Streetfighter in the car I have now and it was in it for a week because it was too loose down low.
I told the builder of my current converter this, these two converters and that i DID NOT WANT A CONVERTER THAT WAS LOOSE DOWN LOW.
I'n fact I'm quite pissed off because this god damn thing drives EXACTLY like the TCI. LOOSE AS ****.
The answer, oh just pull the trans out for the 20th time and well give it another guess.
****, thinking about this is pissing me off.
So I kinda ask alotta questions and dig alot into how they drive, where they drive and also of course see how much personal history they have with a stall before helping them make a choice on the speed.
People get comfortable with what they know and all my buddies told me I was limiting myself and makng a huge mistake buying an 87 Fuel injection 302 Mustang Gt ( back in 86) over the earlier (85) carbed models because I was limiting myself with the FI. They thought big carbs and intakes and they could take me but NOOOOOOOO. I beat everyone of the earlier cars with just bolt ons... Ford had actually improved thier combo over the old Holley everbody loved and had grown up with but it took a while for it to get accepted...
A parallel here or do I need to take more meds
Anyway I tried to tie it together.........Goin downstairs for the meds I guess..................
Sorry about the rant but hope you got my point.......
In fact I was trying to show an old friend how much this car changed since I was 16 years old running a 400 and M4 compared to 16 years later running a 1966 427 and RMVB th400 and did a power brake for two blocks on slicks. He asked me if I realized that it was at 8500 rpm just about the whole time. Sure didn't, just using the old timer ear tach, whats a rev limiter

And I might as well mention that yes, that was with the off the shelf tci street fighter that would pull damn hard at 1800 rpm even with a stall speed of around 3200.
