Default th400 w/ no stall??

Yo sorry that this doesnt have to do with my 98 ls1 camaro but it does have to do with my new 68 chevelle. I just bought it its got a 462 big block 202 heads comp cams and lifters 850 double pump carb all backed by a th400 trans w/ B&M shift kit with NO STALL?

now i can rebuild a motor even being 17 i did it to my ls1 when boring to 383 and to my dads 66 chevelle with a blown 327 small block (6-71 blower) which has a muncie rock crusher 4 speed. But i dont know alot about automatic trans' since both of my other cars are stick. Now since this th400 in the 68 has no stall....is that a good thing or bad thing? Please let me know. again sorry this isnt about my camaro, being in the ls1 forum but you guys know alot about cars im just lookin for some advice thanks.

Depends on cam specs. A big block doesn't have 202 heads, thats a typical small block term.

If the cam is small enough to let it idle its probably fine. Big blocks have torque down low.

Depends a lot on the cam specs, thats usually the main part that determines the power band.
If you shift it manually to run the rpm up and it seems to run way better than you could use a higher stall speed.
Converter companies claim to need all that info for an accurate stall speed recommendation, but if you don't have it they can still take your money and send you something.
