I broke my peice of crap 4L60E for the second time in 5 monthes,what should I do I dont have the money to have it fixed is it that hard to fix an auto ive never messed with one b4,what rebuild kit should I buy i already had it built with a shift kit and vette servo and all that junk what should I do...What is the strongest rebuild kit If I break another one im gonna sell the car and get a T56.Ahhh im pissed,thanks for letting me vent...

 

The right way is to have someone like FLP to do the trans right.If you can't afford to do it right maybe do a t400 much cheaper to build but i don't know about the extras to get it up in running.

 

Ive priced them an a TH400 conversion costs about $500 more than say a FLP Level 4. Plus with the FLP you get OD. If its your daily driver stick with the 4L60E.

 

Unless you live next to FLP the LVL 4 will do you no good with much HP....

Thanks for the input guys,I called the guy who did the transmission and it is still under warranty,do any of you have the KDS performance, blue plate high performance rebuild kit??cuz im also gonna do a stall and a tranny cooler what do you guys recommend for those two.TIA

 

I am also contemplating on doing a T56 conversion,I need the trans,pedal setup,center consol,what all do I need for the computer to do the switch??Is there any thing else?
