Default shift kit

What type of results will i get from a shift kit? will it be ok with stock rear end and gears.

More and more people seem to be doing a cam before a stall nowadays. Not sure why. Some bad advice getting thrown around I guess.

I have a yank 4400 I DD 7 days a week with the T-Rex V2 Cam and I love it. I'm gonna go a little smaller on the stall since the giggle gas is coming soon, but it's pretty sick. But 4000+ stalls aren't for everybody to DD ya know...
