Default Which 4L60E am I looking for?

Hey guys, I have a 94' Z28 with a tranny on the way out.
Only has 2nd, 3rd, and reverse. Trans seems tight otherwise, car was driven from Florida to New york like that. Some people think it has a few bad solenoids. Anyone else have this problem?
For the summer, I'd like to throw a used tranny in the car so I can enjoy it.
What Should I be looking for...vehicles and years? I understand this isnt the right thing to do, but car will be done up over this winter.

For an interim fix check the codes and repair that until you can get a better unit. Cod are easy to check in those years all you need is a paper clip and 10 fingers

Sounds like you have a bad 1-2 solenoid or also called the A solenoid. It is possible that you have a code that is not allowing 1st or 4th gear so get it scanned first. Vince
