I'm in the middle of doing an LSX swap into my 95 A4, now I have a built 4L60E in it already but also have a LS1 4L60E that needs to be rebuilt, and since I was planning on goig back with an auto I had planned to put the 4L60E back in it till I could do a Th400 swap.....now my question is.....since I have the Built LT1 4L60 can I swap those internals out and slid them into the LS1 4L60??? that would save me about 2k for a tranny rebuild, since the LT1 Tras has about 100miles on the rebuild, and no track passes or hard running

 

It would be easiest to just get the sleeve to use the lt-1 converter with the LS1 and make a couple valve body changes and use the lt-1 trans as is . Certainly the cheapest.

 

wish I would have known that before the converter got sold...
