Default Yank PT4400 whining after install. Is it OK?

I just installed a used Yank PT4400 I bought off of a member here. I also installed a new(used) tranny because mine was bad. I went for a ride last night when I finished up and everything runs fine, no vibrations or grinding or anything. However, the converter whines alot and it sounds like I have a supercharger lol. It doesnt do it when the car is stanging still ad idle but once you get to like 1500 rpms it starts whining.

Is this right for that because its such a big converter? Or is something wrong?

Thanks
-Scott

I would say whining does not sound normal. I can not say for sure what it would be because I am by no means a tranny expert but from my experiences with stall converters whining is not normal. Hard to say if its the converter itself or the transmission since you replaced them both at the same time.
