depends on rear gear and tire.

Here you figure it out yourself:

Rear Gear X 355 X MPH / Tire Diameter = RPM

I think i'm somewhere around 3000 rpm at 65mph with 3.73 rear, 28"tire, and 3000 stall converter.

What factor did you use for the calculations? Those numbers dont look right. I think it is supposed to be 336.136. A previous post said 355 which I am pretty sure is incorrect.

(Rear end) x (336.136) x (speed) / (tire diameter)

Here is what I used. Plugged in 28" tire, 3.73 gears and the stock TH400 gear set (2.48, 1.48, 1.1)

But there is no lockup converter , so rpm will be a little higer than a 4l60e in third .

Nothing is wrong with 4l60e but the 400 is 10 times stronger and costs 1/2 to build.

I use 355 for an unlocked converter, and 336 for a manual trans or locked converter.
I don't know how you would or why you'd need to get a closer guesstimate.
