Default Art Carr 4l60 problems

Just bought the car, I've put 1000 miles on it. This is my first A4 LS1 car. Been doing the M6 thing! It supposedly has a Art Carr 4L60 in it

But I noticed if your in OD rolling along and stab it. It don't really like that! It hesitates and hit the rev limiter then shifts down. So I just started manually down shifting. But still if you don't time it right it will hit the rev limiter when your upshifting.

Today I noticed ,manually going through the gears, it slips going into the next gear. Why? this sucks.

Is it tune related or just the trans slowly letting go?
Any info would help

it depends. does it have a high stall convertor? and was the car ever re-tuned?

it has a 4500 Art Carr nitrous converter. It doesn't flash past 3000. Mail order tune by TSP

Its got a 3.42 12 bolt. I was driving it over to get a 3.90 install in it when it started slipping
