Here is a photo for you. I find that a small screw driver or a pick work well to remove these.

Yeah, they are there. They can be a PITA to get out. The first time I pulled my trans it took me about 2.5 hours and probably 1.5 hours of it was just trying to get those damn clips out. Just keep at it and you will eventually get it. Don't get too frustrated though if you get cant them right away.

Or is it what looks to be the gold ring inbetween the 2 silver rings on the neck? Sorry this is my first time pulling the trany myself.

See if this helps any! The clips are under the plastic retainer that you removed at first.

Look for the clips moving in the fittings when the lines are installed in the first video.

In the second video I screwed up but you can see how I remove them. Vince

Thanks... lol, the GM service manual makes it look so much harder.

Got the top one out! I have no idea how I just played with it and it shot out and I have no idea where it went which brings me to my next question where can you buy them?

Vince, any more explaining and you'll have to go to his house and remove them personally. Installing them is very easy as well, it takes me less then a minute to pull them and re-install them.

yea you can buy them from your local parts store.... also a good hint on installing the tranny back in the car.... put the clips back on before you put the tranny back in the line will just pop right in.... i did this the first time not knowing you could just click the lines back in... i fought for hours to put theses clips back on after i put the tranny in and put the lines back in...

LOL Just trying to help! I had been working on putting together a video last fall and just forgot about it until this thread surfaced. I was looking for pictures in my PB account and came across the video's. With the camera I was using I was limited to the length I could use and recently figured out how to compress them. Now I can do ten minute video's! Just have to find time to make better ones. I'm glad the info was useful. Vince
