crazy flexplate question

crazy flexplate question i pulled the tranny for a converter swap and noticed that the flexplate was cracked at all 3 converter holes. then upon further inspection i noticed it was warped or bent at the same locations (when looking across the teeth, around the flex plate). when looking at the back of the engine, the converter was dished toward me. is that right? the car only has 44000, 18000 which i put on, and i really don't think anyone has had the tranny out, but who knows. how do i find out what flexplate is right? also, the car started fine every time. thanks in advance for the input, mike
