Tuning after stall swap

I'm switching from a Vig. 3600 to a Yank PT4000, do I need to retune for the swap?

Probably not, although you may want to raise your idle a tiny bit with the higher stall converter.

no, most 01+ cars will because of torque management. I got a big stall on my 01 and didnt have to but it idled really low, may want to get it to idle a bit higher as said above but it will be drivable w/o it

I like to raise the shift points for normal driving just a bit, it makes the car move better, and doesn't feel too much like the car is slowing between shifts.
Also, seems to make for a better drive if you play with the torque converter lockup values. Having the stall lockup at low mph in OD kind of sux.

Why would a higher stall require a raise in idle speed? Just curious, because my car idles very low now, but never considered relating it to the converter.
