Default 4L60E rebuilt

I have a 99nbs 5.3L Z71 With the 4L60E I bought it used and it has always worked great. Even in the mud!!!! Anyway yesterday it (fell) into netraul. 1st fine 2nd fint Then at 3rd and 4th shift it went into netaul. I was wondering if anybody else had this problem and what it was. So today I pulled the transfercase and trany LOTS OF FUN! I noticed that on the trany + torque converter it said (remanufactured for GM) I thinks its wierd that a 1999 CHEVY truck would already be on its 3rd trany! So I did some research and found that GM puts remans. in there BRAND NEW VEHICLES. Has any one else heard of this I heard it from a few other people also. The only good thing is that the parts are only 100 dollars. Sorry this is so long but I had to vent.

I would only suspect that it must have gotten the reman trans under a past warranty repair. I wouldn't think it would have come off the assembly line with any used or remanufactured parts.
