I had a local tranny shop that builds it's own converters and transbrakes install my vig and transgo. Their tbrakes are sold all over the country and are top notch. They had difficulty putting a transgo in my 94 vette back in 97. At the time their familiarity wasn't very good with 4L60E's apparently. They were most often building th400's, 200r4 or import trannies. It took two attempts to get it right. They must have been following the video and not the instructions. It's a good sk WHEN installed properly. I'm on the fence between the TCI and transgo for my 99Z.

 

I installed my transgo and am extremely happy with it! I also had great customer service. (as I called them when I screwed up......didnt plug in a solenoid all the way....stupid mistake) They were able to diagnose the problem over the phone and tell me what to do to fix it. Not that plugging in a solenoid is tough, but I wasnt aware that that was the problem at the time. If you are looking for tranny longevity go with the Transgo!!!!! It might be tough to install, but I learned alot from the install!!!! (first time ever pulling a pan off a tranny) I will have one in all my trannies from now on.
